Margaret Post
Margaret believes art is a visual interpretation which captures the mood or essence of the subject, whether it be light, serenity or sentimentality, to evoke a response in the viewer. Her painterly style is often enhanced by a calm and peaceful impression of the subjects she choose to interpret.
Margaret Post followed her passion and studied Studio Art at Nazareth College of Rochester with concentrations in textiles and photography.
Over the years, Margaret continued her education through various courses and workshops in drawing and painting and discovered a love in oil painting through her mentor, Pat Rini Rohrer. She has exhibited regionally in many juried shows and galleries including the Nazareth College Alumni Show and the Women Artists of the Finger Lakes Exhibition, and as far south as the Rehoboth Beach Art League in Delaware. Currently, Margaret exhibits at the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in Canandaigua. Margaret has also proudly served as a Committee Member of the Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival and Competition since its inception eight years ago.
