Join George Van Hook for a 2-day plein air workshop in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of central NY. He returns there every year to capture the big-sky vista of rolling farmland overlooking many of the lakes. An added attraction is the vibrant autumn season!

This workshop is for artists of all skill levels, studio and plein air painters alike, who are drawn to the outdoor painting experience. Any medium: Oil / Watercolor or Acrylics

George, a nationally recognized artist who has won numerous Plein Air competitions and awards for his oils and watercolors, for a two day plein air workshop. George stresses alla prima painting using a loose and fast approach to capture the landscape in the first try.

Participants will be meeting on location and painting all day from 9:30 am-4 pm with a lunch break. Workshop includes live demos and individual attention. Please bring your own plein air equipment, supports, and media (oil, watercolor or acrylic), as well as your own lunch and refreshments.
A materials list will be provided by the Gallery at sign up. Currently, the exact Canandaigua or location is to be determined.
