About Kevin Feary

Kevin has taken classes and workshops from local and nationally known artists throughout his career and has been honing his skills studying, drawing and painting. He creates commissioned pieces, murals and paints from life through figure/portrait sessions and plein air. He teaches plein air and portrait workshops as well as weekly classes at Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery in Canadaigua, NY and the Arts Center of Yates County in Penn Yan, NY. He demonstrates for art groups locally and across America.

Kevin is a Signature Member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, The All-Weather Gang, Batavia Society of Artists, Signature Member of the Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters, Signature Member of the Rochester Art Club, Penn Yan Art Guild, and Greater Rochester Plein Air Painters.

Kevin has been juried into multiple shows including NOAPS Best of America Small Works 2019, 2021, 2023, 2024, 2025; NOAPS Best Of America International 2021, 2023; Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019; Lighthouse Plein Air Festival 2016, 2017; Plein Air Funfest 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020; Finalist in the 2010 OPA Eastern Regional Exhibition; Finalist in the Artist’s Magazine 25th Annual Art Competition. He has won numerous awards such as Best In Show Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters Annual Winter Show 2023, 2nd Place Plein Air Funfest 2016, 3rd Place Plein Air Funfest 2018 and 2020, Honorable Mention Finger Lakes Plein Air Festival 2018, Best in Show in Rochester Art Club Spring Show 2014, Best in Show for a body of work in The Rochester Art Club Figure and Faces Exhibition 2010, multiple Best in Show’s in the Batavia Society of Artists Exhibitions and numerous Juror’s and Merit Awards in Rochester Art Club Exhibitions and Genesee Valley Plein Air Painters Annual Winter Shows. His work is collected throughout the United States.
