Jan Romeiser
In 2009, Jan discovered the Pat Rini Rohrer Gallery and Studio II in Canandaigua. She will tell you, this is was what she needed: direction, coaching if you will -someone to tell her to “put the paint brush down and step back”. Jan has taken classes with Pat ever since.
In 2011 she discovered Plein Air painting, and is often on Plein Air painting adventures with her close friends. She has participated in the Elora Canada Plein Air, Seneca Lake, Anthony Road Winery and the Morristown Plein Air festivals, and in 2017, she won the “Artist Choice” award at Morristown. She is a member of the Ontario County Arts Association, is part of the Ontario County Rotating Artists, and a member of the Western Wayne Art Group. She has traveled to Africa, painting murals on the walls of schools she and other volunteers help build. She loves planning trips to parts of the world to paint for others, and herself.
